LightsWe relish the colors of life, brilliantly alight, even through the tears that give them extra sharpness. We cannot forget what is beautiful, what has given us joy--even when it fades like the sunset, we hold it clearly in our memory. Nothing tarnishes except when we choose bitterness or selfishly grasp what isn't ours. What is precious must be free, for love, like beauty, is a gift.
